The role:
We are seeking a dedicated Locomotive Driver to join our team at the Sydney Freight Terminal. Your primary objective will be to prepare, manage, and operate locomotives and trains safely, adhering to your level of competency, safe working qualifications, and Pacific National’s operational procedures and agreements to meet customer and operational requirements.
What You will do:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure trains are delivered in-full and on-time (DIFOT).
- Prepare and operate locomotives safely and in compliance with procedures and documentation.
- Support and promote a strong safety culture aligned with company values.
- Uphold operational standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
What you will bring to the role:
- Proven rail industry / freight/ mainline driving experience
- Cert IV(4) in Train Driving is required
- Display a high regard for safety in the workplace – safe work qualification in NSW is desired
- A positive and supportive attitude when working within a team environment
- A basic level of computer literacy
- A focus on customer needs and supporting continuous improvement
- A current full motor vehicle licence
- Available and flexible to work a 24/7 roster
