About the role

Step into a pivotal role within our Coal business unit, where you’ll manage real-time service delivery within a dynamic 24-hour operational horizon. Your mission? To ensure trains run like clockwork and that our customers receive exceptional service every step of the way

Key responsibilities include however are not limited to:

  • Execute and Monitor: Oversee schedules and services, prioritizing safety and operational excellence.
  • Minimize Disruptions: Swiftly tackle challenges to keep our service delivery plan on track.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Relay vital train plan information to all relevant parties seamlessly.
  • Accountability: Ensure network providers adhere to the operational plan.
  • Information Accuracy: Maintain systems for precise communication, reporting, and data management.
  • Cargo Monitoring: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely cargo delivery and assembly.
  • Service Optimization: Seek opportunities to prevent cancellations and enhance service offerings throughout the day.
  • Crew Management: Strategically deploy crews to meet operational demands effectively.

About you

We’re looking for a dynamic team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Your qualifications should include:

  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively within a team.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in using operational systems and analysing data to enhance efficiency.
  • Critical Thinking: Quick problem-solver who can navigate challenges on the fly.
  • Time Management: Strong skills in resource allocation and deployment management.
  • Understanding of Agreements: Knowledge of relevant Enterprise Agreements and their impact on business operations.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise information sharing.
