Pacific National moves millions of tonnes of freight across Australia every day. We’re looking for a safety-focused Maintainer to join our team at the Adelaide Freight Terminal. Rail experience isn’t essential — if you’re mechanically minded and keen to learn, we want you!

About the Role

As a Maintainer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our wagons safe, reliable and operational. Your tasks will include:

• Performing preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on wagons
• Responding to breakdowns and assisting with recovery activities
• Carrying out heating, cutting and welding tasks
• Operating mobile plant, vehicles and lifting equipment
• Assisting with fabrication and component replacement
• Collaborating with planners, supervisors and operations teams

This is a physically active role requiring a strong focus on safety and the ability to work independently and in a team.

About You

• Heavy industry trade background (highly regarded but not essential)
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence (essential)
• Forklift/MR Licence (advantageous)
• Boilermaker, welding or fabrication experience (preferred)
• Comfortable using basic computer systems for reporting and documentation
