About the Role

An exciting opportunity to step into a Learning and Development leadership position, where you will be accountable for the compliant, cost-effective delivery of all technical and accredited training across Pacific National. This includes the governance of our Registered Training Organisation (RTO), the mobilisation and scaling of the Driver Training Academy, and oversight of frontline technical capability development.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Mobilising and leading the end-to-end implementation of the Driver Training Academy
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and progression of new driver cohorts through to full operational competency
  • Leverage existing internal trainers and outsourced instructional designers to meet business needs
  • Maintain compliance with ASQA and national training standards
  • Manage all RTO activities, audits, reporting and quality assurance
  • Engage and manage external partners for instructional design

About You

We are looking for an experienced L&D Professional with a passion for safety, compliance, and delivering real learning outcomes. With a strong background in vocational education and RTO operations, you know how to turn business needs into practical, high-quality training solutions.

Key skills, knowledge & experience you will bring:

  • Significant experience in leading technical/safety-critical training
  • Experience operating within or leading an RTO
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
  • Qualifications in Adult Learning, Vocational Education, or Learning & Development
  • Strong understanding of VET sector, AQTF, and ASQA requirements
  • High-level communication, influencing, and team leadership skills
