Mainline Locomotive Driver

Every day we transport millions of tonnes of critical freight around the country for our customers. We’re now looking for experienced, safety-focused Locomotive Drivers to join our Junee team and help keep Australia moving.

What You’ll Do

• Safely prepare and operate locomotives and trains in compliance with operational procedures.
• Perform and coordinate shunting movements independently and with Shift Supervisors.
• Prepare locomotives for train operations, including system checks and compliance documentation.
• Monitor train performance and work towards Delivered In-Full, On-Time (DIFOT) targets.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet customer and operational requirements.
• Support and promote Pacific National’s safety culture and values.

What You’ll Bring

• Current Certificate IV in Train Driving.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Basic computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach and commitment to ongoing development.
• Current motor vehicle licence (essential).
