About the role
Join our Intermodal team as a Resource Scheduling Specialist, bringing your expertise in resource allocation to drive innovation and challenge the status quo. In this dynamic, collaborative role, you'll work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 24x7 roster, ensuring our resources are where they need to be for efficient service delivery across Australia.
Working closely with the team, you’ll be responsible for daily resource allocation, considering crew availability, industrial constraints, asset utilization, and our commitment to safe, customer-focused operations. Note: This role involves working shifts, including every other weekend and some public holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate crew and assets to meet daily work plans
- Coordinate with stakeholders to align crew and task allocation with operational needs
- Maintain and update rosters, managing any changes as needed
- Identify process improvements for greater efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

About You
You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative, innovative approach. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication is essential, along with proven relationship management skills as a collaborative team player.
- Experience in short term labour and or asset planning and rostering
- Experience in rail, transport, or heavy industry is a plus
- Knowledge of transport or logistics planning
- Relevant demonstrated experience in service delivery environment, and customer focussed operations
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments with exception attention to detail
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience is highly regarded
