We’re seeking a Terminal Operator to support the safe and efficient operation of our Sydney Freight Terminal. 

What You’ll Do 

Reporting to the Terminal Supervisor, you will: 

• Assemble and dismantle trains, including marshalling and shunting rolling stock. 
• Load and unload containers on freight trains using forklifts and other load‑lifting equipment, including dangerous goods.  
• Conduct train inspections (examinations), brake testing and minor defect rectification. 
• Process freight and operational documentation using terminal systems. 
• Maintain strong safety, quality and customer service standards and up to date training competencies.   

What You’ll Bring 

• LF Forklift licence and current Driver Licence (essential). 
• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills. 
• Strong communication skills and team focus. 
• High regard for safety and compliance. 
• Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster. 
• Ability to meet medical and rail safety requirements. 
• Rail experience i.e. shunting and train inspection (highly regarded)
