An opportunity has presented itself for Locomotive Driver to join our team in Port Augusta, SA.

What You’ll Do

Prepare, manage and operate locomotives and trains safely and efficiently to meet customer and operational requirements.

Reporting to the Linehaul Supervisor, you will:

• Prepare and provision locomotives for train operations, including checking and testing control systems and completing compliance documentation
• Operate locomotives and trains in accordance with safe working qualifications, competency levels and Pacific National’s Operational Procedures and Agreements
• Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to achieve Delivered In-Full On-Time (DIFOT) performance
• Proactively contribute to the achievement of safety goals and promote a strong safety culture
• Maintain an ongoing commitment to safety, accountability, integrity and teamwork
• Work a 24/7 rotating shift roster in line with operational requirements

What You’ll Bring

• Cert IV in Train Driving (please upload your certificate during your application)
• Display a commitment to safety in the workplace
• Safe Work qualification in SA is desired
• A positive and supportive attitude when working within a team environment
• A basic level of computer and technology literacy
• A focus on customer needs and supporting continuous improvement
• A current full Motor Vehicle Licence (C-Class) is a mandatory requirement
• Available and flexible to work a 24/7 rotating shift work roster
