About your new role

As an experienced Supervisor, you will join Pacific National's QLD Coal team, based in Sarina. You will lead frontline train crews and support operational activities across Sarina and the broader Coal North region, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable service delivery while fostering a high-performance team culture.

What you will do

• Prioritise safety in every moment, safely every day 
• Lead and promote safety, compliance and HSE initiatives across operations
• Manage train crew performance, rostering and day-to-day operational requirements
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to build capability and engagement
• Support onboarding and training of new drivers and operational employees
• Manage workplace issues, investigations and incident response activities
• Collaborate with planning and service delivery teams to optimise operational outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement and positive cultural change within the workforce

What we’re looking for

• Full Australian working rights
• Demonstrated leadership experience within transport, logistics, mining, rail or another heavy industry environment
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and people leadership skills
• Proven commitment to creating and maintaining a safe workplace
• Experience managing employee relations and workplace issues
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving capability in operational environments
• Rail industry experience is advantageous but not essential
