About the Role
Reporting to the Environment Manager the Environment Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring compliance with environmental laws and internal policies, while promoting sustainable practices across the business. You will work closely with a collaborative and experienced team, providing environmental advice and reporting, supporting incident response, and maintaining key systems and documentation.
This is a great opportunity to apply your knowledge in both-office based and site-based contexts and make a meaningful impact across our network.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining environmental registers, permits, and compliance records
- Supporting environmental risk assessments, audits and investigations
- Providing advice on environmental issues and initiatives
- Supporting progress on sustainability targets and reporting obligations
- Liaising with regulators, consultants, and internal stakeholders
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have 2 or more years’ experience in a similar environmental coordinator / advisory role, you will be passionate about environmental performance, adaptable across field and office work, and thrive in a close-knit team
In addition, to be successful in this role you will have:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and risk management
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with attention to detail
- Experience within a heavy industry, site inspections or audits will be advantageous
