Lead Compliance Through Precision and Safety Data Excellence

Pacific National is seeking a highly capable Safety and Reporting Advisor to lead key areas of the organisation’s safety and compliance function.

The Safety & Reporting Advisor is responsible for accurately entering, managing, and maintaining safety-related data within both internal and external systems. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and internal company standards. The Safety & Reporting Advisor reviews and processes incident reports, compliance documentation, and inspection data, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of all records. By supporting the safety team, this position contributes to the organisation’s overall safety objectives, facilitates data-driven decision making, and promotes a culture of safety and compliance.

What You’ll Do 

  • Accurately input safety-related data, including incident reports, inspections, maintenance records, and compliance checklists, into PN’s and third-party systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
  • Ensure timely updates of safety documentation to reflect ongoing activities, corrective actions, and completed inspections.
  • Assist in data audits and participate in quality assurance checks as required.
  • Prepare and submit routine and ad hoc reports for regulatory bodies, management, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Assist with the collation and analysis of safety performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of safety programs and initiatives.
  • Support investigations of incidents by providing accurate data and documentation as needed.
  • Participate in the safety assurance program and site inspections to ensure that safety standards and regulations are being adhered to.

What You’ll Bring 

  • Experience in data entry, management, or administrative support, preferably within a safety, compliance, or regulatory environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety and environmental management standards, systems and tools.
  • Knowledge of WHS and rail legislation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and stakeholder management
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Familiarity with safety management systems and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
