An opportunity has presented itself for a Terminal Supervisor to join our team at our Adelaide Freight Terminal based in Regency Park.
What You’ll Do
Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of a busy freight terminal while driving safe, efficient, and productive outcomes for our people, customers, and business.
Reporting to the Terminal Superintendent, you will:
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate terminal operations to ensure trains operate safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Inspire a safety-focused culture through visible leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Coordinate operational resources and workforce activities to maximise terminal productivity and service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with network access requirements, operational procedures, and company standards.
- Implement and communicate organisational, divisional, and local safety instructions across the team.
- Conduct safety observations, performance assessments, and ongoing capability development activities.
- Work closely with Integrated Planning Services and Network Control to support effective train movements and operational performance.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a safety-critical environment.
- Experience leading, coaching, and motivating teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
- Background in rail, transport, logistics, or a related industry highly regarded.
- Strong commitment to safety leadership and fostering a positive safety culture.
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
- Experience developing team capability and driving performance outcomes.
