About the Role

As a Terminal Operator, you are responsible for performing safe shunting duties, marshalling locomotives and rail wagons in preparation for departure, and providing safety critical communications to incoming and outgoing Pacific National rail services.
This role requires hours of work based on a 24/7 forward rotating roster, averaging 38 hours per week. The position whilst based at our Port Augusta Depot may require shift coverage in both Port Augusta and Whyalla terminals over the roster cycle.

To be successful in this position, you will be a team player who thinks ahead and enjoys a challenge. This is a role that requires a responsible and accountable individual who will efficiently and safely undertake all required tasks.
In addition, you will have:
- Full Driver's licence
- General computer proficiency is required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills, prioritising workloads and able to adapt to a changing work environment.
- Previous experience in heavy industry, logistics or transport would be advantageous.
- A mechanical, processing or similar working background is desired.
