About the role

PN is embarking on an exciting organisational change within the People team, and we have a great opportunity available for an Employee Relations Advisor who is focused on developing their career within Employee Relations to join our Advisory Service team.

As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will be responsible for providing advice and coaching on a range of employee relations matters, leading investigations, and case management activities, and supporting strategic ER initiatives.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Undertake workplace investigations, including preparing documentation including reports and outcome letters.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping for interactions and case management activities in our Service Now platform.
  • Advise and support leaders and the People team on ER matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Implement strategies and training that align with business priorities and improve ER service delivery.
  • Provide advice on complex ER issues, including policy matters and legislative changes.
  • Support and collaborate with various teams for continuous improvement in ER processes and compliance activities.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced and motivated Employee Relations professional with demonstrated experience within HR / ER advisory role. Experience within a blue-collar industry such as transport and logistics, mining, construction, or aviation will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations, or related field
  • 2 or more years in a HR Advisor or ER role
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information
