People & Culture Business Partner

An opportunity has presented itself for P&C Business Partner to join our team, the position can be based at our head office in North Sydney, our Sydney Freight Terminal in Chullora or our Melbourne Freight Terminal in West Melbourne. 

What You’ll Do

Partner with leaders across operational and corporate teams to drive people outcomes, strengthen workforce capability, and support business performance.

Reporting to the Senior P&C Manager, you will:

  • Partner, coach and advise leaders across our intermodal business on a broad range of people matters.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, investigations, grievances and workplace conduct matters.
  • Interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment legislation to support business decision-making.
  • Support workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and organisational capability initiatives.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide practical recommendations to leaders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of P&C policies, procedures and people initiatives.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across a geographically dispersed operational workforce.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a HR Business Partner, P&C Advisor or similar role within a blue-collar, industrial or operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, employee relations and performance management practices.
  • Experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and coach leaders.
  • Strong investigation, problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
