About the Role

As a Terminal Operator, you are responsible for performing safe shunting duties, marshalling locomotives and rail wagons in preparation for departure, and providing safety critical communications to incoming and outgoing Pacific National rail services. You will also be involved in container loading and unloading operations using a reach stacker, supporting the efficient movement of freight across our network.

This role requires hours of work based on a 24/7 forward rotating roster, averaging 38 hours per week. The position will be based in Adelaide.

To be successful in this position, you will be a team player who thinks ahead and enjoys a challenge. This is a role that requires a responsible and accountable individual who will efficiently and safely undertake all required tasks.

In addition, you will have:

  • Full Driver's licence
  • General computer proficiency is required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience in heavy industry, logistics or transport would be advantageous.
  • A mechanical, processing or similar trade qualification background is desired.
