HSE Advisor

Every day, Pacific National transports millions of tonnes of essential freight across Australia. We’re now seeking a proactive and solutions‑focused HSE Advisor to join our HSE team in Queensland.

This role is part of our national HSE business partnering team and plays a key part in coaching leaders, improving safety performance, and embedding effective risk management practices across our operational environment.

What You’ll Do

• Coach and mentor operational leaders to strengthen HSE capability and safety leadership
• Facilitate risk assessments and monitor the effectiveness of critical controls
• Support the delivery of Pacific National’s key HSE strategic initiatives
• Build workforce capability in hazard identification and risk management
• Participate in audits and compliance assurance activities
• Lead and facilitate investigations within PN’s investigation framework
• Deliver training to ensure effective use of PN’s enterprise management system and HSE applications
• Role will require some travel to regional Queensland sites

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Occupational Risk, Engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience delivering effective HSE outcomes across complex, multi‑site operations
• Strong knowledge of safety and environmental requirements in rail haulage, logistics or mining, ideally with 5+ years’ experience
• Demonstrated experience in hazard and risk control implementation
• Capability in leader coaching and incident investigation facilitation
• Experience working with Major Hazard Facilities or dangerous goods (highly regarded)
