An opportunity has presented itself for an Operations Superintendent to join our team in Port Augusta SA.

What You’ll Do

Lead and manage safe, efficient and high-performing multi-site rail operations across key South Australian locations.

Reporting to the Regional Manager South Australia, you will:

• Lead the overall performance of the Port Augusta driver depot as well as two terminals and a remote driver barracks.
• Provide leadership to a team of approximately 110 employees, including 4 direct reports.
• Ensure all sites operate in line with our safety-first approach while meeting operational and performance targets.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement across safety, culture and operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships across geographically dispersed and remote worksites.
• Provide visible and accessible leadership within a 24/7 operational environment.

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated experience leading large operational teams, ideally across multiple or remote sites.
• Strong people leadership capability with the ability to build a collaborative, respectful and high-performance culture.
• Proven ability to drive positive cultural change across safety and performance.
• Highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience operating with full accountability and the ability to work autonomously.
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation.
• Rail industry experience is advantageous.
