An opportunity has presented itself for a Terminal Operator Level 4 / Yard Locomotive Driver to join our team in Tennyson, QLD.

What You'll Do

Support the safe and efficient operation of our rail terminal through locomotive driving, train assembly activities and freight handling responsibilities.

Reporting to the Supervisor you will:

• Drive locomotives and perform shunting activities within the yard precinct
• Coordinate, assemble and dismantle trains to meet operational requirements
• Operate forklifts to support terminal and freight handling activities
• Conduct train examinations and brake testing activities
• Process operational documentation and freight movements using computer-based systems
• Maintain compliance with rail safety procedures, policies and safe working practices
• Contribute to a 24/7 operation working rotating shifts including weekends and nights

What You'll Bring

• Shunt Driver accreditation
• Current Heavy Forklift Licence
• Current High Risk CV Licence
• Current unrestricted Driver's Licence
• Experience undertaking train inspections and brake testing activities
• Strong commitment to safety and operational compliance
• Sound computer skills and ability to use operational systems
• Strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills
