An opportunity has presented itself for an Operational Training Specialist to join our team in Greta, NSW.
What You'll Do
Drive operational capability by planning, coordinating and supporting training and competency programs that ensure our people are equipped to safely and effectively meet operational requirements.
Reporting to the Training Manager, you will:
- Develop and manage annual training plans that support operational demands and future workforce requirements.
- Coordinate trainee programs, training schools and workforce development initiatives.
- Partner with operational leaders, Driver Trainers and Train Crew Development Specialists to identify capability gaps and training solutions.
- Monitor, track and maintain employee competencies and training compliance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on workforce capability, training effectiveness and operational performance.
- Coach and support trainers to enhance training delivery and learner outcomes.
- Ensure training activities align with regulatory, RTO and business requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in training coordination, learning and development, workforce capability or operational training environments.
- Proven experience developing and implementing training plans and competency frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple business areas.
- Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of competency-based training and assessment practices.
- Experience within rail, transport, logistics, mining or another safety-critical operational environment will be highly regarded.
