Pacific National is seeking reliable and safety-focused Terminal Operators to support the day-to-day operations of our rail terminals. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in preparing trains, managing yard movements, and ensuring freight is handled efficiently and safely.
What You will do:
· Performing safe shunting duties to support train movements within the terminal.
· Marshalling locomotives and rail wagons in preparation for train departures.
· Providing safety-critical communications to both incoming and outgoing Pacific National rail services.
· Supporting the efficient movement of freight across the network through accurate and timely terminal operations.
· Performing basic wagon maintenance and conducting train examinations.
What you will bring to the role:

· A strong sense of responsibility and accountability – you take pride in doing the job safely and efficiently.
· A full driver’s licence – essential for operating vehicles and equipment on site.
· General computer proficiency – capable of using basic systems and tools to support operations.
· Excellent communication skills – clear and confident when sharing safety-critical information or working with others.
· Experience in heavy industry, logistics, or transport – highly regarded but not essential.
