About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive People Services Associate Consultant (HR Associate) to join our People Services (HR) team. This entry-level position plays a vital role in delivering efficient and compliant HR operations, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and employee lifecycle support.
Reporting to a Sydney, Australia-based People Services Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining people data systems, supporting workplace compliance initiatives, and assisting with day-to-day HR transactions across our operations in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the onboarding process for new hires, including offer reviews and user setup
- Maintaining employee data across HRIS, LMS, and time-tracking systems
- Coordinating offboarding processes and ensuring accurate separation records
- Triaging Help Desk queries and providing first-level HR support
- Reviewing reimbursement requests and coordinating approval processes
- Assisting in workplace surveillance reviews related to conduct or theft concerns
- Generating reports and supporting the analysis of people data.
About the person
To be successful in this role, you will be an organised, motivated self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering high-quality service. You will ideally bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a similar field
- Basic knowledge of HR processes and employment laws in Sri Lanka (or in Australia, Canada or New Zealand is a plus)
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle different tasks at once
- Confidence using computer systems such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Sheets, etc.)
- The ability to keep information private and use good judgement
- A logical way of thinking and solving problems
- A positive, team-focused attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure or during change.
