About the role
We are seeking a proactive and organised People Services Associate Consultant to join our Sydney-based team in this new role.
In this permanent, full-time role, you will provide end-to-end HR support across the casual employee lifecycle. This includes being the first point of contact for casual team member and leader queries, ensuring onboarding and offboarding processes run smoothly, and maintaining accurate employee data and documentation.
You will work closely with our remote team of HR Consultants to deliver consistent, compliant and people-focused practices across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone with an understanding of HR coordination and compliance, looking to pursue a long-term career in human resources.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing offers and ensuring screening standards are met
- Coordinating pre-boarding, onboarding and cross-boarding processes
- Managing offboarding, including casual inactivity processing
- Maintaining employment records in HR systems
- Supporting workplace compliance across Australia, Canada, and New Zealand
- Providing policy and procedural advice to store leaders
- Responding to People Services Help Desk queries
About the person
To thrive in this role, you’ll be a confident communicator and team player with a problem-solving mindset and a strong sense of initiative. Successful applicants will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline
- A sound understanding of HR practices and employment law compliance (preferably in Australia, Canada or New Zealand)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience building effective working relationships across teams
- Proficiency in database systems and Microsoft Office or GSuite
- High levels of discretion and ethical judgement when handling confidential information
- The ability to stay calm, adapt to change, and prioritise competing tasks effectively.
