About the role
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to take on the role of a Training Manager. This role can be based in any of our four states: WA, NSW, Vic, or ACT
Our positive behaviour support team is one of the largest in the country and currently consists of over 300 practitioners across Australia.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Job shadowing client appointments, including category one and two clients, to provide clinical guidance, training, and mentoring
- High quality and effective training to ensure all Positive Behaviour Support practitioners are able to deliver outcome-focused services in a timely manner
- Attendance at all sites in the state you are based in on a reoccurring basis to provide training and support based on site needs
- Conducting risk assessments for clients with identified safety/risk concerns
- Conduct group supervision sessions for clinicians across all levels
We want to talk to you if you have:
- Demonstrated ability in training others across face to face and virtual environments
- Thorough understanding of evidence-based positive behaviour support assessments, strategies, and practices
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Minimum Proficient level endorsement against the Capability Framework
- Experience working with individuals with complex behavioural challenges and diagnoses
- Experience providing high quality and effective interventions to participants/stakeholders across the lifespan
- Able to travel across all sites within your state
- Passionate about lifelong learning, supervising and mentoring clinicians of all levels
