Our service in Corrimal is expanding and we are seeking our next clinician to join a national team of over 700 incredible practitioners making a difference in the lives of our clients every day!
You will work across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services with clients who have various presentations, diagnoses and disability types. You will get to work with an amazing group of clients over a period of months or even years and will play an integral part in their personal growth and development, working together to meet their goals.
We can offer a competitive salary in the range of $80,000 - $100,000 + super + AHPRA supervision.
About The Role:
As a Provisional Psychologist you will be joining a national team of nearly 200 Psychologists working under different service pathways, including the NDIS and the private sector. You will have the opportunity to develop, extend and deepen your clinical expertise in a friendly, well-supported team and in an organisation that values your growth, passion and skills. You will have the opportunity to be trained in specific psychological assessments, such as Autism and ADHD and to engage in some of the best quality mentorship and supervision possible.
This will involve:
- Assessment: ORS offers a full range of psychological assessments, including mental health, IQ, psychoeducational, school readiness, decision-making capacity, autism and ADHD assessments. There will be the opportunity to receive training to develop your skills in this area and administer such assessments to applicable clients.
- Intervention: You will also be using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including CBT, ACT & DBT to support clients to work towards their goals. This includes both psychological therapy services and employee assistance services.
- You will have the opportunity to work in our clinic with a multidiscipline team of practitioners or across various environments, including family homes, disability group homes, day programs, schools within your community.
- An in-house internship supervision program is ready for the 5+1 pathway including paid supervision.
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner you will be part of Australia’s largest Positive Behaviour Support team with over 300 practitioners providing positive behaviour support services to NDIS participants and private clients across the lifespan.
This will involve:
- Assessment: Completing Positive Behaviour Support Assessments to identify risks of harm and gather information to create a behaviour support plan to assist the client to work towards their goals, improve their quality of life and reduce restrictive practices.
- Intervention: Providing services to the client and those supporting them such as schools, families, support workers and other stakeholders including training, resources and collecting data to analyse and track behavioural change.
- You will have the opportunity to work across a range of environments including the community, client homes and in the office to encourage and motivate behavioural change, improve quality of life and advocate for positive change.
Requirements:
- Provisional registration as a psychologist with AHPRA
- NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (ORS can assist with obtaining this if you do not already have your registration, this can take 8-10 weeks so get ahead by setting up a PRODA account in advance)
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses (desirable)
- A car and licence
- A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or able to get one for a client facing role (or willingness to obtain before commencement)
