THE OPPORTUNITY 

Located from our Port Melbourne warehouse, and due to an increase in business, we are currently looking for our next Glass Fitter/ Labourer to join the team.

As part of the maintenance team, you will be repairing and replacing various types and sizes of glass in our company assets. To be successful in gaining this fantastic opportunity, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Assess worksite risks and assess before commencing.
  • Learn and choose the appropriate glass required for the job
  • Learn and build the framework for the glass
  • Ensure proper handling, coating, etching, or trimming as required.
  • Hack outs where required.
  • Work autonomously to plan and manage orders as well as monitor progress.
  • Recommend techniques to improve efficiency. 
  • Load & and arrange glass onto a work truck. 
  • Installation of glass into our assets

The Experience:

  • Previous glaze installation experience or willing to learn the industry
  • ·Good mathematical and literacy skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised once you have a good understanding of the job
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and punctuality
  • You're comfortable working from ladders
  • You're comfortable using power tools and hand tools to a high standard
  • Be available to work on-call at times as part of a team which may include after-hours work
  • Current valid driver's license
  •  Fit, enthusiastic, and keen to be part of a progressive company
