About the Opportunity

  • 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract
  • Based in North Sydney

We’re seeking an experienced HRIS Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in delivering our organisation-wide HRIS transformation, with Workday now confirmed as our core platform.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in complex transformation environments, enjoys partnering across functions, and brings deep expertise in HRIS implementations and process optimisation.

Based in our vibrant North Sydney office, this 6 month fixed-term contract will see you work closely with the HRIS Project Manager, HR, IT, Finance and external vendors to support the successful implementation of Workday.

You’ll play a critical role in gathering and translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements, conducting gap analysis, and optimising end-to-end HR and payroll processes. This role is central to ensuring our new Workday platform is fit for purpose, compliant, and ready for adoption across the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation for Workday HCM, Payroll, and Time & Attendance
  • Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements across HR and payroll
  • Support the replatforming of Time & Attendance and other HRIS components
  • Facilitate workshops to define future-state workflows, user stories and integration needs
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications aligned to Workday best practice
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams to support configuration validation and UAT
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory, security and data privacy requirements
  • Support change management activity to drive system adoption and capability uplift

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst delivering HRIS implementations or transformations
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, payroll and system integrations
  • Hands-on experience with Workday (or comparable platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors or Oracle HCM)
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working across Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Business Analysis certification (CBAP or CCBA) highly regarded
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma or DMAIC methodologies an advantage
