About the Opportunity  

Are you a passionate WSE leader who thrives on influencing culture, driving operational excellence, and creating safer workplaces?

We are seeking an experienced Wellbeing, Safety & Environment (WSE) Manager to lead and drive health, safety and environmental outcomes across operations throughout Australia and New Zealand. This is a opportunity for a proactive, hands-on professional who enjoys balancing strategic direction with operational support in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Reporting to the Head of WSE, you will partner closely with operational leaders, site teams and key stakeholders to strengthen safety leadership, embed consistent standards, and drive continuous improvement across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and implement WSE strategy and management systems across multiple sites.
  • Coach and influence leaders to strengthen safety leadership and accountability.
  • Drive hazard identification, risk management and compliance activities.
  • Oversee critical risk areas including contractor management, machine safety, traffic management, chemicals and working at heights.
  • Lead incident investigations, corrective actions and organisational learning initiatives.
  • Support injury management and return-to-work programs.
  • Deliver training, coaching and capability development across teams.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and assurance activities.
  • Prepare and present WSE reporting, insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of enabling technologies.

About You

You are an engaging and solutions-focused WSE professional with strong leadership capability and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior WSE leadership role within manufacturing, industrial, logistics or asset-based environments.
  • Experience managing safety across multiple sites and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand WHS and environmental legislation.
  • Demonstrated success driving cultural and behavioural change.
  • Experience with ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 systems and assurance activities.
  • Strong incident management, investigation and risk management capability.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety, Risk Management, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Formal incident investigation training (ICAM or equivalent preferred).
  • Experience in audit, assurance, systems implementation or change management will be highly regarded.
