The Role:

In the role of P&C Advisor you will play a critical role in engaging with stakeholders to build oOh!’s leadership capability, employee-centric HR services, and provide effective delivery of the people plan, HR initiatives and specialist advice.  

You will be pivotal in delivering tangible operational outcomes with the support of the wider People and Culture team, and able to make sound data-informed recommendations that support people to perform at their best.  

Key responsibilities:

  • General advice and queries: Partner with a client group of individual contributors and team leaders to triage and/or provide values-driven advice and guidance on people management matters, enabling managers to confidently deal with day-to-day employment issues and bring cases to resolution 
  • Recruitment: Partner leaders on recruitment, acting as the key contact between the business unit and P&C Centres of Excellence (including Talent Acquisition, Remuneration & Reward, P&C Operations).
  • Performance, reward and engagement cycle: Coordinate cyclical people initiatives such as engagement, remuneration review and goal setting
  • Support effective strategies, programs, and initiatives to help improve performance, productivity, retention, and the workplace culture 
  • Provide coaching, advice and support to the business teams on a broad range of people management topics, with an emphasis on creating and sustaining an engaged and high-performing workforce.  
  • Manage all changes to terms and conditions of employment and work with P&C Operations to generate paperwork
  • Identify, propose and implement continuous improvement of business processes and practices 
  • Guide employee engagement through various initiatives and programs 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive and deliver projects and initiatives across the organization

In order to be successful for this position:

You’ll be an experienced and trusted People and Culture professional (2-3+yrs in a HR role) with an excitement for change and a passion for aligning HR initiatives with business goals. Your ability to build strong partnerships and effectively manage key stakeholder relationships will be critical to your success in this role.

You will also:

  • Have great communication skills with the confidence to stand your ground
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of ER/IR processes such as workplace investigations, disciplinary, grievance and performance management. 
  • Posses highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, make decisions, set realistic goals and meet deadlines. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
