About the opportunity:

  • Fixed term 12 Month Maternity leave contract
  • Based in North Sydney

The Art Director – Innovation is a central, fixed-term role (12 months) responsible for shaping the creative vision and strategic direction behind oOh!’s most forward-thinking solutions, bridging creative excellence, technical innovation, and commercial outcomes.

You will be the leader of a team of motion, 3D, and content specialists, setting the pace of innovation in Out-of-Home. This role is vital for ensuring innovation directly drives measurable client and commercial value.

Key Responsibilities and Experience:

  • Define and evolve the visual direction for innovative products, ensuring alignment with business priorities and market opportunities.
  • Oversee the development of static, motion-led, and 3D content, ensuring both creative and technical excellence.
  • Champion experimentation in immersive formats, AI-driven creative, and premium content partnerships.
  • Oversee the creation of prototypes, mock-ups, and final assets for digital and physical products.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire motion, design, and content specialists to foster creativity and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Technology, and Commercial teams to embed innovation into client solutions and showcase oOh! as the market leader.

You Will Also Have:

  • 10+ years of comprehensive experience in design thinking and digital innovation, with a proven track record of creative leadership across media and emerging digital platforms. Expertise spans product innovation and delivery, including specialized skills in UX/UI design thinking, 3D animation, and 3D motion design.
  • Proven ability to deliver innovative, commercially successful content and creative product solutions.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premium Suite and Cinema 4D.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.) and other industry-standard tools.
  • A strong understanding of 3D, motion design, and premium/immersive content partnerships.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how 3D creative is produced from a technical and creative standpoint.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and clients with compelling innovation stories.
