The Role:

Based out of our Port Melbourne depot, you will be part of the team who provide proactive and reactive electrical and light box maintenance on oOh! Street Furniture assets across Melbourne metro areas. As the Electrical Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring our assets are in their best possible condition and are always fully illuminated. This involves undertaking electrical audits and maintenance of ad boxes, courtesy lighting, trip switches, totem poles, solar shelter panels, batteries etc.

This role offers a variety of work where no two days will be the same! You will have a clear view of your upcoming schedule and be given the autonomy to plan your day around the best route. Your role will entail:

  • Complete electrical safety and RCD inspections in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Complete electrical fault maintenance and repairs to all assets
  • Log and report all maintenance assessments via mobile app to the Team Leader
  • Attend road traffic incidents where assets have been affected to secure the site and ensure the safety of the public until repairs can be made
  • Proactively adhere to and promote Work Health Safety (WHS) policies and practices and safety culture
  • Company vehicle, uniform, and all equipment are provided! 

The Experience:

To be considered for this role you must possess a current, non-restricted A Class Electrical License that meets Government regulations, and also be available to work occasional on-call and after-hours work (as per the team rational roster). A full, valid Australian Drivers Licence is also a must.

In addition, you will thrive in a team environment and be able to work autonomously, using your initiative while working with minimal supervision. Good communication, tech-savvy nature, and compliance with WHS policies are also key to this role. You must also pass a pre-employment Drug and alcohol check, license check, and reference checks.
