About the opportunity:

The Cloud Engineer helps design, develop, and implement automated deployment solutions for our production environments. They will

  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that code is built, tested, and deployed efficiently and reliably
  • Ensure that all oOh!media’s systems are available 24x7 - Monitoring, patching, scaling, etc.
  • Manage infrastructure through code while maintaining standards and quality
  • Integrate applications into monitoring and alerting systems
  • Successfully deliver a complete build pipeline, deploying to different product stages
  • Develop and maintain documentation covering deployment and system processes

The Role:

We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to help design, develop, and implement automated deployment solutions for our production environments! Working in our North Sydney offices, you will:

  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that code is built, tested, and deployed efficiently and reliably
  • Ensure that all oOh!media’s systems are available 24x7 - Monitoring, patching, scaling, etc.
  • Manage infrastructure through code while maintaining standards and quality
  • Integrate applications into monitoring and alerting systems
  • Successfully deliver a complete build pipeline, deploying to different product stages
  • Develop and maintain documentation covering deployment and system processes

Skills and experience:

A background in a modern software engineering environment and at least 3 years Cloud Engineering with a strong focus on DevOps tooling. You will also have:

  • Experience designing, building and deploying infrastructure as code using one or more of the following technologies: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK
  • Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Working knowledge of microservices design and development including event-driven and API architectures
  • Solid understanding of Containerisation (including Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Working knowledge in any of the following technologies: Nodejs, JavaScript/Typescript
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL database deployment and management approaches
  • Knowledge in Security and Governance of IT Applications
  • Knowledge with Application Performance Monitoring tools desirable
  • Knowledge in AWS Networking and Security
  • Experience with configuration management tooling, e.g. AWS Config.
  • Education background in computer science or similar disciplines
  • Experience with CDK is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of working with Serverless systems is highly desirable
