The role:

We are seeking a Data Engineer with expertise in MLOps to refine and enhance our data products deployment infrastructure and at the same time contribute to our data warehousing initiatives. With your deep experience in data engineering and a strong foundation in MLOps practices, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with business and technology teams. This position involves close coordination with both internal solution architects and external experts from AWS and Databricks, aiming to design, build, and enhance scalable data systems and workflows. By integrating different types of analytical models into production and leveraging advanced data warehousing techniques, you will ensure the efficient delivery and continuous improvement of high-quality data products. 

In order to be successful for this role we would be seeking the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related engineering discipline. 
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in data engineering with a proven track record of writing production-level code, particularly with experience in building and optimising data warehouses and implementing MLOps practices. 
  • Proficient in programming with Python, SQL, and Spark for data processing and analytics.  
  • Demonstrated experience with Linux/Unix based systems in a cloud environment, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on leveraging cloud services for data warehousing and analytical model deployments. 
  • In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle, with emphasis on DevOps and MLOps methodologies to ensure continuous integration, testing, and deployment of data and model pipelines. 
  • Experience with the Databricks platform is highly valued, especially proficiency in using it for data engineering tasks, model development, and deployment within a unified analytics platform.
