THE OPPORTUNITY 

We currently have a permanent Posting and Maintenance Operative position in Hawthorn, Preston, Richmond, Kew , Tullamarine areas.  

As a Posting and Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all bus and train shelters within your designated area. Maintenance is to be carried out under oOh!’s policies and procedures and with a high degree of safety awareness. This role is physically active, and your specific duties and accountabilities will include; 

  • Maintenance of bus shelters within your designated area (glass clean up, fixing of seats, totem poles, bus shelter structure, insecticide/weed killing, and the overall general cleanliness of the bus shelter
  • Graffiti removal and minor repairs
  • Fortnightly posting of advertising campaigns as well as mid and special posts
  • Monitoring and reporting of damages, and faults and securing potentially hazardous sites
  • Maintaining cleanliness of company vehicles and compliance with WHS policies

 What we need from you:

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or asset maintenance preferred but not essential  
  • Pride in your work and a responsible and reliable attitude  
  • A strong initiative while working with minimal supervision 
  • Driver's license (Unrestricted open license for manual vehicles) 
  • Physically fit and able to perform the duties  
  • Ability to work independently from multiple locations/ settings 
  • Strong time management skills  
  • Have a clean driving record and can supply a current Vic Roads Report on request
