About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a commercially driven and well-connected Sales Director – South Island to lead revenue growth and market presence for oOh!media in Christchurch.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who brings strong market knowledge, a client-first mindset, and the confidence to shape strategy, influence outcomes and represent oOh! as a senior leader within the New Zealand advertising community.

As Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for driving growth across the South Island agency landscape and key direct advertiser segments. You’ll act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, bringing insight-led thinking, strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of the NZ media market.

Operating as the senior face of oOh!media locally, you’ll build and strengthen relationships, identify new opportunities, and lead go-to-market activity across our Street Furniture, Retail and Digital Out of Home portfolio.

This role is suited to someone who thrives on autonomy, market leadership and delivering sustained commercial results.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive revenue growth across South Island agencies and key direct clients
  • Develop and execute a structured market growth plan aligned to national strategy
  • Build and maintain senior, trust-based relationships with agencies and advertisers
  • Identify, convert and grow new business opportunities across multiple categories
  • Act as a senior representative of oOh!media in market, enhancing brand presence and reputation
  • Deliver compelling, insight-led sales presentations and tailored solutions
  • Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline management and revenue reporting
  • Share market insights, trends and opportunities with the wider NZ leadership team
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure exceptional campaign delivery

About You

You’re a confident, commercially astute sales leader with a strong profile in the New Zealand media or B2B landscape. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in senior media sales, business development or commercial leadership
  • Strong Christchurch and South Island market knowledge and established agency and/or client relationships
  • A consultative, insight-led selling style with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success driving new business and growing existing portfolios
  • High commercial acumen with strong negotiation and deal-closing capability
  • Excellent presentation, storytelling and communication skills
  • A proactive, accountable and results-driven mindset
