What you’ll be doing

The primary purpose of the analytics engineer role is to be a core contributor to range of activities related to data and analytics engineering – design and build robust data pipelines with high quality observability, accurately model data for different use cases and build reusable data components using our 1st party and 3rd party data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, product managers, backend engineers, and other data engineers, to ensure the availability and reliability of high-quality data for analytical, operational and product driven use cases.

Key duties and deliverables:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, reduce duplication, and drive shared success.
  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources into our data warehouse.
  • Gather and translate requirements into technical requirements and documentation while promoting a data-driven culture.
  • Assist evaluation and solution design of data pipelines to ensure we are meeting broader team and business objectives.
  • Review ELT pipeline designs to ensure that they are optimized for data quality, performance, scalability and reliability.
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of data models, schemas, and data documentation for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Manage and support certain database administration and infrastructure activities.
  • Monitoring and supporting system and data health for the overall data platform.
  • Work closely with platform engineers to ensure reliability in our data pipelines and trouble shoot data platform infrastructure issues.
  • Manage and support CI/CD deployment process of our ELT pipelines.
  • Work closely with Privacy, governance & risk and other data engineers to ensure data governance, privacy and quality is built by design into our pipelines and data warehouse.
  • Staying abreast of industry practices and technology changes.

 What we are looking for

  • Solid understanding of modern data warehousing concepts (Snowflake is preferred)
  • Solid understanding of structured and semi-structured data
  • Medium to advanced level in SQL (with dbt core preferred)
  • Intermediate level in Python
  • Strong experience in data orchestration tooling and methods (Airflow is preferred)
  • Strong experience in data modelling methodologies (such as Kimbal/Inmon/Data Vault/Activity Schema)
  • Solid understanding of version management, documentation, testing and CI/CD to enable quality with speed
  • Experience with at least one framework for data quality implementation
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms (AWS is preferred)
  • Bonus: Experience with GenAI-powered analytics tools or workflows (e.g., natural language to SQL tools, AI-assisted data modeling, or embedding LLMs into analytics products)
