When you work in Parliament, you don't just watch democracy in action – you are part of it. And in the Office of the Clerk we work at its core, providing advisory services to the House of Representatives, directly assisting the House and its committees with the business of Parliament.
Te tīma | The team:
Office of the Clerk provides a unique and stimulating work environment where you will be a part of a highly respected organisation that is at the heart of New Zealand's democracy. As Clerk of Committee, you'll play a lead role in overseeing services to one or more designated select committees. As well as attending all meetings and coordinating the committee's programme of work, you'll work closely with Members of Parliament, providing advice on matters to do with committee procedure, scrutiny of legislation and scrutiny of State Sector agencies.
This is a full time, fixed term role until June 2026.

You'll also need the skills to work with different personalities, and be able to think on your feet, cope with pressure, and deal effectively with the unexpected.
Alongside a tertiary qualification, you'll be confident in leading a small team and advising decision makers and stakeholders.
