An exciting opportunity now exists for a motivated, experienced frontline leader to join our friendly team as a Trade Centre Assistant Manager based in Silverdale, Auckland!

Hours of work are Full-Time, working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm.

Reporting to the Trade Centre Manager, you will play a key part in contributing to the efficient operation of the branch by leading, coaching and coordinating the activities of the Trade Centre. Within this role you will enjoy significant autonomy to impact the Branch and take performance to the next level.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising, directing and developing branch staff to achieve individual and team objectives;
  • Provide regular coaching and mentoring to TSA’s
  • Allocate resources, manage expenses, inventory and debtors
  • Leading and guiding the team to deliver exceptional service, ensuring customer requirements are met accurately and on time;
  • Play an active role in recruitment of new team members
  • Provide coaching and training to ensure the correct receipt, unpack and store of inwards goods, with all relevant procedures followed and appropriate documentation completed
  • Strive to exceed store sales targets and KPIs
  • Lead by example to promote a customer centric culture within the team
  • Drive a safety & wellness culture across the team

Our ideal candidate:

  • Will have previous experience within a retail/Industrial Sales environment.
  • Knowledge in engineering/power tools will be a bonus, however this is not essential as full training will be provided.
  • As a leader, motivate and drive the team to role model strong sales skills and exceptional customer service. 
  • Have a friendly and helpful attitude, while displaying a positive and professional image.
