About the role:
Are you passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement in education? Join our dynamic team as a Quality Advisor, where you'll work closely with the NZMA Quality Team to support best practices and programme delivery that aligns with NZQA approval and accreditation requirements.
This role has a strong operational focus, particularly supporting the Land Based Training and Builders Academy brands. You'll be involved in monitoring, reviewing, and enhancing quality processes, providing vital support to ensure regulatory compliance and excellent academic outcomes.
This is a permanent, full-time position, with the flexibility to work remotely anywhere in New Zealand. Occasional travel will be required as part of the role, visiting campuses and meeting with stakeholders.

You’ll be someone who brings a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards in educational quality. You enjoy working collaboratively and have a proactive approach to solving problems.
Required Skills/Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in quality assurance, academic compliance, or educational evaluation, preferably in a tertiary or vocational education setting
- Some understanding of NZQA rules, regulations, and programme accreditation requirements
- A background in moderation, programme monitoring, or self-assessment activities is advantageous.
- Familiarity with moderation processes, internal evaluations, and quality monitoring tools
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret and apply policy and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear reports and provide constructive feedback
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data analysis
- Ability to build effective working relationships across different teams and stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience with the NZQA Code of Practice and programme self-assessment activities is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use digital tools relevant to quality assurance work
