About the role: 

We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and dedicated Campus Manager to lead our Land Based Training campus in Hawkes Bay. We have a focus in Hawkes Bay on Pest Control, Horticulture, Agriculture and L2 Vocational Pathways (through Hort, Ag and Civil and Building). This is your chance to combine your leadership, operations, and people skills to drive real results in vocational education.

As Campus Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the campus—including sales, learner outcomes, staff leadership, and ensuring our quality and compliance standards are met. Your leadership will play a key role in supporting learners on their journey to meaningful employment or higher learning.

This is a full-time, permanent role, based in Hawkes Bay.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage campus operations to meet budget and profitability targets
  • Lead academic delivery to ensure student success and qualification outcomes
  • Oversee and support staff, ensuring alignment to company values and high team morale
  • Ensure full compliance with NZQA, internal quality standards, and funding requirements
  • Monitor student outcomes and support successful graduate pathways to work or further study
  • Build strong connections with local industry, stakeholders, and the wider community

Required Skills/Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in campus, educational, or operational leadership
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and team performance
  • Knowledge of NZQA and tertiary education compliance requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build community and industry engagement partnerships
  • Passion for learner success and equity outcomes (especially for Māori, Pasifika, and students with disabilities)
  • Confidence in leading, mentoring, and holding teams accountable
  • Strong organisational and decision-making capabilities
  • Flexibility to occasionally support promotional or pastoral events outside regular hours
