We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a high-performing technology team responsible for supporting and enhancing enterprise and operational technology networks that underpin mission-critical environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on networking professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, driving automation initiatives, and working across modern enterprise and industrial control system environments.

About the Role

As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the availability, security, and performance of critical network infrastructure. You'll work across network operations, incident management, change delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with internal stakeholders and technology vendors.

This position offers exposure to enterprise-scale networking technologies, security platforms, and industrial control system environments where reliability and operational excellence are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
  • Design, implement, and execute network changes while following established change management processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across routing, switching, wireless, and security technologies.
  • Drive network automation and process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes, standards, and best practices.

What You'll Bring

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, wireless solutions, and Nexus platforms.
  • Experience administering network security solutions, particularly Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Solid knowledge of:
  • VXLAN
  • OSPF
  • BGP
  • Route redistribution
  • Experience supporting Industrial Control System (ICS) environments, including SCADA, PLC, or Modbus networks.
  • Exposure to mission-critical, operational technology, or safety-critical environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with minimal supervision.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience with SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, and Cisco ISE.
  • Network automation and scripting experience.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based service environments.
  • Cisco and/or Palo Alto certifications.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise networks with high transaction volumes.
