We are seeking an experienced Appian Automation Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of business process automation solutions using the Appian BPM platform.
As a lead, you will guide a team of Appian developers, collaborate with business stakeholders, and provide architectural direction to ensure scalable and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of Appian-based automation solutions for business workflows and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Provide architectural guidance and best practices for Appian development.
- Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle including planning, estimation, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Mentor and manage junior Appian developers, ensuring code quality, reuse, and maintainability.
- Review and approve technical documentation including solution design, process models, and interface specifications.
- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to optimize processes through digitization and automation.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through innovation and adoption of Appian platform capabilities (e.g., RPA, AI, Data Fabric).
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide L3 support when necessary.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of overall experience in BPM/automation, with at least 3 years in Appian development.
- Proven experience leading Appian projects or teams.
- Strong understanding of Appian architecture, best practices, and performance optimization.
- Proficient in SAIL, Appian Records, Process Models, Interfaces, and Integrations.
- Experience in Appian RPA and/or integration with third-party automation platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Appian certifications (Lead Developer or above) preferred.
- Experience working in regulated environments (banking, insurance, healthcare, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
