This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and innovative finance business where you will work closely with senior leadership to shape and execute growth strategies, build strong broker relationships, and deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

About the Role

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding an established broker referral network while proactively identifying and onboarding new finance brokers and strategic partners. You will work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure high-quality submissions, improved approval outcomes, and exceptional service delivery.

This role combines relationship management, business development, pipeline management, and strategic planning, making it ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business growth strategies in consultation with senior management
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with existing finance brokers and referral partners
  • Identify and onboard new broker partners to expand distribution channels
  • Attend networking events and conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and industry trends
  • Educate brokers on product offerings and submission quality to improve conversion rates and turnaround times
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create sales and marketing materials and campaigns
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and CRM records
  • Provide monthly sales forecasts and pipeline reports to senior management
  • Monitor business performance and identify strengths and opportunities for improvement
  • Deliver exceptional support to customers and internal stakeholders

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within banking or financial services
  • Strong existing network of finance brokers and industry contacts highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic growth plans and achieve sales targets
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organised
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
