Data Scientist

• Office locations: Canberra, Sydney and Adelaide
• Essential: Current NV1, NV2 or TSPV security clearance
• Start Date: March 2027
• End Date: June 2027

We are seeking a Data Scientist to turn complex data into insights and analytical models supporting national security outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse data from multiple sources.
• Develop, test and validate statistical and machine learning models.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Maintain reproducible analysis and secure data handling practices.

Skills & experience

• Demonstrated data science, statistical analysis and predictive modelling experience.
• Proficiency in Python or R, SQL and relevant analytical libraries.
• Experience with data visualisation, model evaluation and version control.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Security Clearance: Current NV1, NV2 or TSPV clearance is strictly required
