We’re seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to support a multi-year data transformation journey, helping to shape the technology blueprint for the future of banking.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to implement the bank’s data strategy
• Build and optimise data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines
• Create cloud-native solutions using cutting-edge AWS services
• Champion DevOps practices and CI/CD automation
• Contribute to a high-performance data platform enabling next-gen analytics and AI

Must Have Skills and Experience:

• 8+ years' experience as a hands-on AWS Platform/Data Engineer
• Deep expertise across AWS services: S3, Glue, Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, EMR, Kinesis, etc.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, plus experience with data lakes and serverless tech
• Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/Terraform), Docker, Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Airflow, CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins), and observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus)
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and a collaborative, can-do attitude
• AWS Solution Architect certification

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Alation, DBT, Ab Initio
• Experience with Iceberg tables, Parquet formats
• Familiarity with financial datasets (e.g. Murex, Wallstreet Suite)
• Data visualisation integration (PowerBI, Tableau)
