Our client is an innovative provider of merchant cash advance solutions, specialising in delivering seamless, unsecured working capital to small and medium businesses across Australia.  

This role offers the opportunity to join a fast-paced financial services business supporting its finance operations and administration. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent university graduate who is looking to build a career in accounting and gain valuable hands-on experience across finance and administration. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Accounting & Finance (Primary Focus) 

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoices, expense claims, and purchase orders. 
  • Perform bank reconciliations and contribute to monthly financial reporting. 
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal processes. 
  • Liaise with external accountants and stakeholders as required. 
  • Support daily transactional data processing in line with the company’s cashflow-based repayment structure. 

2. Administration Support (Secondary Focus) 

  • Provide general administrative assistance to the office and team. 
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries. 
  • Manage document filing, data entry, and record keeping. 
  • Coordinate meeting schedules, appointments, and office logistics. 
  • Assist with internal correspondence and report preparation. 

 Key Requirements 

  • Work experience, a certificate, diploma, or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • Open to recent graduates or early-career professionals with a passion for finance. 
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisation and time management skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) is a plus. 
  • Clear written and oral communication skills with a professional and proactive attitude. 
  • A willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic, technology-driven finance environment. 
  • Full working rights in Australia (Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
