SAP Software Engineer

Locations: Brisbane (QLD), Canberra (ACT), Melbourne (VIC), Adelaide (SA) – Hybrid (First 6 weeks onsite, then minimum 3 days/week onsite)

Contract: Up to 12 months, with potential extensions

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality SAP solutions in a large, complex, and regulated environment.

This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, providing guidance across SAP projects, system integration, and software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP software development projects: analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment.
• Provide technical advice and specialist guidance on SAP solutions, integration, and system architecture.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure code adhering to standards and methodologies.
• Design, implement, and monitor release, deployment, and configuration processes.
• Support team coaching, performance management, and capability development.
• Engage with stakeholders to deliver high-quality SAP solutions and system outcomes.
• Monitor emerging technologies and advise on adoption to enhance SAP capabilities.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Advanced SAP expertise: SAP ABAP, S/4 HANA, FI/CO, PSCD, CRM, BRF+, UI5, CPI, PIPO, ERP integration.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise SAP environments.
• Strong technical leadership and team management.
• Proven experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Knowledge of software development standards, testing, system integration, and risk management.
• Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with IBM API Connect, SAP BODS, SAML/OAuth and other integration services.
• Experience delivering projects across complex, geographically distributed environments.
• Ability to provide technical strategy and guidance for large SAP landscapes.
