This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll design, build, and optimise cloud foundations that power critical business systems—while working with modern DevOps practices and cutting-edge technologies.

About the Role

As a CloudOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, deploying, and operating cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP. You’ll help enable teams to securely and efficiently adopt cloud services, while continuously improving automation, scalability, and resilience.

This role offers strong exposure to cloud architecture, DevOps tooling, and platform engineering, along with the opportunity to influence best practices and contribute to innovation through proof of concepts and new technology adoption.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and support scalable cloud platforms and foundational infrastructure
• Drive automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver simple, secure, and cost-effective solutions
• Perform code and design reviews to ensure quality, security, and performance
• Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability across production environments
• Work closely with security teams to identify and remediate risks
• Contribute to continuous improvement, tooling enhancements, and engineering best practices

What You’ll Bring

• Strong understanding of cloud-based architecture and infrastructure particularly in AWS and GCP covering services such as VPCs, Identity (IAM), Compute (EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, GCP Compute, Cloud Run)
• Strong understanding and experience of cloud networking across particularly in AWS and GCP (e.g. Route Tables, Transit Gateway, VPC Endpoints, GCP Shared subnets, NCC)
• Understanding of cloud security and governance (e.g. Organizations, Service Control Policies) and best practices (e.g. AWS Well Architected Framework).
• 4+ Years Experience in managing infrastructure and deploying applications in AWS or GCP
• 4+ Years Experience with developing and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a focus on infrastructure as code.
• 4+ Years Experience with developing and supporting applications written in a modern coding language such as Go and Python.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Pulami and CloudFormation.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile practises and utilising tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Understanding of ITIL Service Management and quality assurance processes (e.g. change controls) and experience in using tools such as ServiceNow.
• Experience with incident and problem management in an operational production environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent reporting skills.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements.

Preferred

We currently have a focus on building new GCP foundations and solutions, so recent experience in GCP is preferred.
