Our client`s SmartEnergy Department works with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing data-driven insights, compliance reporting, and renewable energy solutions that make a real impact.

They’re now looking for a motivated Energy & Sustainability Analyst to support utility reporting, renewable energy projects, and solar monitoring services.

About the Role

This role combines energy data analytics, renewable project support, and client engagement. You’ll work across solar, metering, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives—supporting clients from feasibility through to reporting and ongoing performance monitoring.

What You’ll Be Doing

Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Support

  • Prepare client proposals, presentations, and reports using established templates
  • Conduct feasibility and financial viability assessments for:
  • Solar PV
  • Battery Energy Storage (BESS)
  • EV chargers, power factor correction, and emerging technologies
  • Engage with suppliers and service providers to obtain technical and cost information
  • Contribute to improving and developing templates for new technologies
  • Support RFPs, tenders, and client-facing demonstrations of online portals
  • Deliver customised energy reports and analytics

Solar Monitoring & Performance Reporting

  • Produce monthly solar performance and monitoring reports
  • Support LGC claim preparation and solar benchmarking
  • Configure new solar monitoring services and respond to system alerts
  • Analyse solar performance against expected output and benchmarks
  • Assist with the development of solar analytics and monitoring tools

Metering & Energy Data Support

  • Assist with meter installations, data quality checks, and load profile analysis
  • Clean, upload, and manage meter data in internal systems
  • Liaise with clients, electricians, meter providers, and suppliers
  • Support metering rollouts, invoicing, purchase orders, and issue resolution

Client Energy Accounting & Reporting

  • Support billing verification and retailer issue resolution
  • Prepare energy and water forecasts, accruals, and tariff assessments
  • Respond to client queries with accuracy and professionalism

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal technical, sales, and operations teams
  • Assist with training and knowledge sharing across the business
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers

Must have skills and experience:

  • 3+ Years Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a client-facing environment
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset

Highly Regarded (Desirable):

  • Experience in energy, sustainability, consultancy, or metering services
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, science, environmental studies, or similar
  • Exposure to renewables, solar analytics, or utility data
  • Basic programming or data analysis skills
