We are seeking an experienced Appian Squad Lead to guide a cross-functional team delivering process automation solutions using the Appian platform.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of Appian applications, working closely with business stakeholders, developers, testers, and architects to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an Appian development squad to deliver digital workflow and business process solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals.
  • Oversee the design, architecture, and development of Appian-based applications, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and best practices.
  • Ensure timely delivery of deliverables aligned to the Agile delivery lifecycle (e.g., sprints, releases).
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality engineering.
  • Facilitate code reviews, performance tuning, and unit/integration testing efforts.
  • Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to manage deployment pipelines and environments.
  • Monitor and address technical issues, risks, and defects throughout the development cycle.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 7+ years of experience in Appian BPM development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Strong understanding of Appian architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Proficient in Appian design objects including SAIL interfaces, process models, integrations, and records.
  • Experience with REST APIs, Web Services, and integration with enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Appian Level 2 or Level 3 certification preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices related to Appian.
  • Exposure to other workflow automation tools or low-code platforms.
  • Background in banking, insurance, or enterprise operations.
